What is Loupe 2019?

Loupe is a conference from Framer on interactive design and creative coding. The conference will run August 14–16 at the Muziekgebouw concert hall in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Who is this conference for?

This conference is for designers, developers, and prototypers.

Do I have to purchase a separate pass to attend a workshop?

No. New for 2019—all tickets include access to the conference, your choice of workshops and activities, and all parties!

Is there a scholarship program for students or a subsidized pass program?

We are reserving 50 tickets as subsidized passes (€249) for those who identify with underrepresented groups and for those in financial need. For more information, read our Subsidized Pass blog post.

Does this event have any diversity and inclusion efforts?

Yes! Diversity and inclusion have always been important tenets of our company and we’ve learned that it’s essential for us to bake this into everything we do. We continually aim to diversify our landscape by focusing on female, POC, and non-binary representation in our company and community.

In order make Loupe 2019 a diverse and inclusive event, we’ve doubled the number of tickets set aside for our subsidized pass program this year! This year there are 50 subsidized passes (€249) available for those who identify with underrepresented groups and those in financial need. For more information, read our Subsidized Pass blog post.

If any attendees have accessibility requests, we will do our best to grant them.

What if I have specific accessibility needs? How is this event accessible to people with disabilities?

Making this event as accessible as possible is important to us. We would love to know what your needs are and accommodate you as best we can. After you register for your ticket, we will send out a questionnaire to gather some additional information, including any accessibility requests. Our team will review these and work with attendees to find the best solutions possible.

The main venue for Loupe, Muziekgebouw, is fully accessible for wheelchairs.

Is there a Code of Conduct for this event?

Yes! All Loupe attendees, speakers and partners agree to adhere to a Code of Conduct when they register. Learn more here.

Are there discounts available?

Early Bird pricing is available until May 15 or until the limited quantity of tickets have sold out. Companies interested in purchasing a group of tickets can contact loupe@framer.com to inquire about availability.

Will you be live-streaming the event?

No, we will not be live-streaming the conference. However, videos of the main speakers will be captured and posted publicly after the event. Due to their hands-on, in-depth nature, we will not be documenting the workshops. The best way to experience Loupe is to attend in person!

Are you looking for volunteers?

Yes, we are seeking a handful of volunteers to assist with the event. In particular, we are interested in help from those familiar with Amsterdam (locals, preferably), and who have experience with large events and familiarity with the Framer community. Volunteers are generally expected to work most of the day(s) that they are available, so if you’re just looking for a free pass to the conference in exchange for a few hours of work, you may not be the right fit.

Any interested volunteers should fill out this form.

How do I get there?

AMS (Schiphol Airport) is very accessible from any major airline. Once you arrive, the easiest (and cheapest) way to get into the heart of Amsterdam is by train. You’ll get a full guide to Amsterdam and how to get there (and get around) as the event approaches!

Where do I stay?

We have negotiated three special rates near the venue for Loupe attendees, ranging from €169–225/night. When you purchase your ticket, you’ll be sent a booking link if you’d like to stay at one of these hotels.

When can I register for workshops?

When you purchase your Loupe ticket, you’ll be able to indicate your preference for workshops. This information will be used by our team to determine capacities and scheduling for each workshop. Actual registration will happen the first week of July and you’ll receive an email with links to sign up and determine your Friday schedule.

Is it possible to switch registration for a workshop?

Yes, up to 2 weeks before the event. Please contact loupe@framer.com with your registration request and we can adjust your ticket based on availability.

Are tickets refundable or transferable?

Tickets are refundable up to July 14. After that date, you may transfer your ticket to someone else up until August 1 with no additional fee. Please email loupe@framer.com to request any registration changes.

Are meals included in the ticket price?

Loupe passes include a light breakfast and lunch on both Thursday and Friday, as well as coffee, tea, and assorted snacks throughout the day. The parties will include complimentary appetizers and beverages, but you should definitely plan on eating dinners with the amazing new friends you meet each day.

Can I speak at Loupe?

Speaker outreach takes place months before registration opens and our speaker lineup for this year is full. We still love hearing your ideas, so feel free to reach out to us at loupe@framer.com if you’d like to be considered for the future.

Can I sponsor Loupe?

Yes! For more information about available sponsorship opportunities, please email eimear@framer.com.
